Requiring a separate event ticket, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially begins after normal park operating hours from 7pm until midnight in Magic Kingdom. The Party is held on 37 select nights starting on August 12 and through October 31st. These date-specific event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or park reservation. Dates of the Party are: August: 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30. September: 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30. October: 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21,23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31. All other guests may purchase tickets beginning on May 18, 2022. These "Not-So-Scary" Halloween parties can sell out, so Tink's highly advises you to purchase well ahead of time! As part of this limited capacity event, partygoers will encounter event-exclusive entertainment, will run into some notorious Disney villains, go trick or treating, enjoy some "frightfully" delicious food, and more! Overlays themed for the occasion will return to several popular attractions, the Sanderson Sisters will put on an unforgettable "Hocus Pocus" stage show, the Headless Horseman will ride his ghostly horse down Main Street, U.S.A. before Mickey's Boo-To_You Halloween Parade, Disney characters in their "haunted" costumes will hold meet and greets,, and the Pumpkin King (Jack Skellington) will host "Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular" which is a a nighttime production featuring projections on Cinderella's Castle, special effects, and lighting mixed with fireworks, music, and Disney characters. Wonderful "not so spooky" memories will be made in Magic Kingdom, of that we have no doubt! Contact Tink's to book your "not-so-scary" tickets! And then start deciding on your costumes! We always hear positive reviews about the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Game, and in this blog you are in for a special treat - we have two reviews from children of our Tinks' agents! Our First Review Comes from Tinkster Bella, whose mom, Kristen S, is a Tink's vacation planner! Hi, my name is Bella. I am going to tell you about the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game. First you go to the fire station that is on Main Street. If you have a group of people one person will be the portal opener. I had five people so we all scanned our magic bands. Then we all got a pack of cards which has five cards in it. You also get a map that leads you through battles throughout the Magic Kingdom. A cast member will tell you which Land your first portal is in. My first portal was in Fantasyland. I had to defeat Ursula for my first quest. Once I finished all my quests in Fantasyland, I was able to move to Liberty Square. When I played this game, I decided to break it up over a few days. You could also go to the park and work on a quest for several hours to finish it all in one day. Every day that you go to the Magic Kingdom, you are able to obtain another pack of cards. The cards have different Disney characters on them that have different powers like the Blue Fairy’s wand wish has two wishful attacks, two wishful boosts and 2 wishful shields (card fifty-seven). There are seventy cards in all and you can buy a binder at the git shop on Main Street to store your cards. I had so much fun doing this. I hope you try it too. Our Second Review Comes From Tinkster Ben, whose mom, Donna, also is a Tink's vacation planner. Hi, my name is Ben and I want to tell you about one of my favorite things to do at the Magic Kingdom. Have you ever wanted to be a Sorcerer for a day? Do you want to defeat Villains while they try to outsmart Merlin? Well you can in the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom park. This fun and exciting game takes you on an interactive scavenger hunt throughout the park. You start by visiting the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. to sign up and receive your Sorcerer Key Card or activate your Magic Band for Key Master, Merlin’s mystical map and spell cards. Everyone in your group scans their Magic Bands to get spell cards and you choose one person to be the Key Master. The Key Master uses his or her Magic Band or Key Card to activate Portals throughout the park. Your mission is to help Merlin stop Hades and the rest of the Villains and get his crystals back. Once you get set up at the Firehouse, you will be given a starting Portal. There are 20 Portals throughout the park to visit and each section of the park has a different Villain. Head to the Portal and have the Key Master activate the portal by tapping the Key Card or Magic Band on the lock. The Portal will open, and Villain will appear with a video. You may need to choose one of your Sorcerers cards to defeat the Villain to move on to the next Portal. If you need to use a card, you will do so by standing on the Sorcerers Crest (as shown in picture) and holding card in front of portal. Once completed, Merlin will give you directions to the next Portal. My family has been enjoying this game for about five years now and every time we go, the game is a little different. Each time we go to the Magic Kingdom we sign up and get more Sorcerers cards, we have about one hundred cards now! We love playing and even have the game at home to play with. My brother and I switch off who is the Key Master so that we take turns and have the same amount of fun. My favorite Villain in the game is Maleficent and my brother's favorite villain is Ursula. We also like this game because it takes you throughout the whole park. I recommend this game to all kids and your parents! Tink's Comment: We want to thank Bella and Ben for reviewing the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Game inside Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Aspects we especially enjoy about Disney Destinations are the varied ways of experiencing the magic, whether it be a family's first visit or families who have returned again and again. The Sorcerers Game is a fun way to see Magic Kingdom through a different prism, and we thoroughly enjoyed the views of two of our Tinkster kids! We hope you enjoy the game sometime in the not too distant future too ... and if you do, please report on your experiences here in the comments section! By Tink's Agent, Jessica. When we recently traveled to the Walt Disney World® Resort, we booked a first hair cut package at Harmony Barber Shop because it was literally the only way we could get our strong willed three year old to agree to it. A summer of swimming in the pool had done some damage to her long locks and she was overdue! Given that my daughter was three years old, I was a little nervous they would think it odd that I would bring her in for this package. She wasn’t exactly a baby anymore, but those little baby curls were still as precious to me. By Tink's Vacation Planner, Eddie. This past week I had the opportunity to partake at the first ever Disney Villains After Hours event inside Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World® Resort.. In the past I have only done one after hours event -- it was Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. With that experience under my belt I had some sort of an idea of what to expect at this new event, but at the same time I was still very excited to go. It was a VILLAINS event after all! Disney is all about "good" fun, but there is something about our “Bad Guys/Girls” from Disney that just really captured a piece of me. I believe that our celebrated villains prove that Disney can be a little dark and still be cool. By Tink's Vacation Planner, Kristen. I recently had the opportunity to experience a Disney World Specialty Fireworks Cruise with some co-workers. I have seen the Happily Ever After Fireworks show from various locations in and around the Magic Kingdom but viewing the show from the boat was SPECTACULAR! We were picked up at the Wilderness Lodge an hour prior to the Magic Kingdom Fireworks and cruised around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Our private pontoon boat Captain shared some Disney memories and Disney trivia during the 40 minute tour of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake before the fireworks started. Each boat is outfitted with snacks, sweet goodies, as well as a cooler with water and soda. We passed several boats that were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and we were told that Disney will decorate your boat for your own special occasion, included in the price. Written by Jennifer C. I recently vacationed at the Walt Disney World® Resort with my family over Christmas break and we had the most magical time! My family and I were also celebrating my parents' wedding anniversary of 25 years, which is a milestone not to go unnoticed. I spent some time before our trip thinking of ways to honor their anniversary and take them by total surprise--that’s when I found: Cinderella’s Chocolate Slipper dessert!! This delectable dessert is available at select restaurants/resorts around Walt Disney World for purchase: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and at Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom park. By Tink's Senior Vacation Planner, Lynn. Main Street, USA inside Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort was created to feel like the turn of the century when the times were much simpler than it is today. Did you know that like the small towns in the past, Main Street, USA has a working barber shop? As you enter Magic Kingdom Park the Harmony Barber Shop is located to the left tucked in a corner beside the Emporium gift shop and the “car barn” where the parade floats exit and enter. Outside the shop you will see an iconic swirling red and white pole. The shop is small with four barber chairs and is decorated in an old fashion barber shop style. Adults and children can get haircuts from licensed cosmetologists. f you are lucky ,you just may get serenaded by the Dapper Dans quartet while there. You will be welcomed with a fun and friendly smile. They only do dry cuts with maybe a little sprits of water, no shampooing. After the cut you can get sprinkled with “pixie dust” and bubbles.
On one trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort we decided to get my 19-month-old son his first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop. As soon as Magic Kingdom opened, we headed straight there. We purchased the My First Haircut package. Norma, the Cast Member who cut my son's hair, was so wonderful with him and was very patient. She led my son to the chair and entertained him with giant red scissors and a comb to calm his nerves. Norma cut the first lock of hair and wrapped it up in a towel for us to keep. She kept my son occupied with lots of Mickey stickers and spinning light up toys. When Norma finished cutting my son's hair, she sprinkled “pixie dust” over him and put on his first Mickey Ears hat. The hat is a simple black Mickey Ears with First Haircut embroidered on the back. The My First Haircut package cost $25 and includes the haircut, Mickey Ears and a certificate. I highly recommend this package for any child who is ready for their first haircut. As most parents know, getting your child's first haircut can be a difficult task but the Cast Members at the Harmony Barber Shop are excellent with young children. They keep them calm and entertained and makes the entire process smooth and stress free for the kids. The whole experience was magical and something we will remember for a lifetime. Tink's Tips: Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. While reservations are not required, Tink's highly recommends making a reservation. Walk-ins are welcomed but they only have a limited number of spots and are on a first come, first serve basis. For walk-ins, the least crowded time is first thing in the morning right at park opening. Hours of operation are from 9am to 5:30pm, 7 days a week. Pricing: Adult haircut - $19;Children 9 and under - $18;My First Haircut package - $25. Written by Tink’s Vacation Planner, Vanesssa. Do you (or anyone in your party) have food allergies? My daughter, now age 10, has suffered from a life threatening tree nut allergy since age 2. The good news is that there is no “suffering” in Walt Disney World®! The cast members at Walt Disney World® take extra special care of their food allergic guests. This extra care not only puts this nervous mama’s mind at ease, but also put my daughter’s mind at ease which is paramount to our enjoyment of a meal. At the start of each meal, whether it is counter service or table service, a special food allergy menu is provided. This menu gives great information as to which foods on the menu are safe for the person with the allergies. Not all places have these menus yet, but if you find that is the case, no worries, a Disney chef is happy to come speak with you directly. Perhaps some of the best service is at the buffets, where a Disney chef is available to personally walk around with the food allergic guest showing them all the various foods that are safe for consumption. The FastPass system has been around for a long time. But it may not be the same as when you experienced it. Now with FastPass+ you can select three FastPasses 60 days prior to your arrival if you are staying on property. (If off property 30 days.) With the old system, if you wanted Toy Story Mania, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, you would either get there early to get a decent time around lunch, and if you were too late, there would be no FastPass or it would be late at night. This could ruin plans. Not with FastPass+. |
Our vacation planners their children and yes, even some of our Tink’s clients, have written about their experiences in the Neverland Blog. The magic of Disney comes alive in an immediate way when our children visit the Land of Mickey and Minnie.
